After the success of the three first editions, h?up entrepreneurs, a general-interest French NGO that gathers disabled entrepreneurs, is launching its fourth edition to put exemplary successes in the spotlight.
160 applications received in 2019. Over 500 people present at the gala evening in Paris on November 4th 2019. Placed under the high patronage of French president Emmanuel Macron, this event also welcomed the spokesman for the government. After two successful first editions, the h?up trophies are back for a third consecutive year. The goal? To put disabled entrepreneurs? extraordinary paths in the spotlight!
Exemplary journeys
H?up is a part of the following numbers: in France, 680 000 entrepreneurs are weakened by health issues every year, 7 700 are declared to be permanently disabled every year, and there are 75 000 disabled entrepreneurs. Moreover in Europe and worldwide, the entrepreneurship of disabled people is a living, rich and relevant force to strengthen. Many have atypical stories full of obstacles, but they push towards excellence; they carry exemplary success, often surprising or powerful.
Even more than their their business?s performance, it is their journey, their trajectory we seek to reward. Examples to be followed that will encourage disabled entrepreneurs to commit, to innovate, and encourage client companies to trust them.
A jury of experts
The call for applications has been launched!
The applications will be examined by an experts committee, composed of members of h?up?s general management, specialists in accompanying entrepreneurs, journalists? They pre-select 12 to 15 career paths, which are then submitted to a jury of recognized business owners, personalities from the business, non-profit and media sectors, and partners of the event.
The jury will hold a meeting 3 weeks before the event to choose the five winners.
3rd edition: 5 awards and 1 public prize
Three awards will reward an aspiring creator, a creator and an experienced entrepreneur, accounting for the quality and originality of their career path.
The entrepreneur of the year award will crown an exceptional success.
In 2020, a new category has appeared: the ?international entrepreneur? award rewards a French-spoken entrepreneur whose business and activities are based overseas (outside of France).
Other innovation, the public?s choice award allows the audience to pick their favorite.
The ceremony will take place in Paris on November 3rd.
